From the City of Tyler:
Downtown Tyler ArtWalk organizers have adopted the “neither rain nor snow” postal carrier’s creed with the announcement that Saturday’s Downtown Tyler ArtWalk will occur as planned from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at various downtown businesses.
All participating artists have been moved indoors for the event, which is free and open to the public. Very few reasons would cause organizers to cancel the event, said City of Tyler Main Street Department Leader Beverly Abell, noting that only extreme circumstances such as power outage, closed roads or a critical public safety issue would halt the event.
“We have more than two dozen artists, demonstrations and interactive projects to visit,” Abell said. There will be traditional and contemporary art in all media, assembly art, demonstrations such as the pouring of metal toy soldiers, ceramic pottery, jewelry and more.
