Could Forks Over Knives save lives? Come see...

Could Forks Over Knives save lives? Come see...

Liberty Hall in Tyler is bringing a new movie to East Texas called Forks Over Knives. This movie doesn't address the problems in the food industry, as Food, Inc. did. Instead, it claims to  challenge the western way of thinking about food. It tells us that changing our diet can change the state of our health. Whether you believe it's true or think it's a buch of nonsense, head to Liberty Theater on August 16 to see it for yourself.

From the Liberty Theater website, where you can also order tickets online for $7:

Cases of diabetes are exploding, especially amongst our younger population. About half of us are taking at least one prescription drug and major medical operations have become routine.

Top tips for an accident-free Fourth of July

Top tips for an accident-free Fourth of July

Released by the Better Business Bureau of Central East Texas:

It’s that time of year when our nation celebrates Independence Day - commonly known as the Fourth of July - commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.

For many, that means picnics, baseball, pool parties and almost always, some type of fireworks.    Whether you will be attending a fireworks show, or having a not so private fireworks display at your home, safety should be your number one concern.

BBB, with information obtained from the National Council on Fireworks Safety, provides the following tips to ensure your July 4th is accident free:

  1. Always have water handy. (A hose or bucket).
  2. Only use fireworks as intended.
