Did you know that the month of November has officially been declared National Peanut Butter Lover's Month? If you're like me and you grew up loving peanut butter and eating it nearly every day, this is a reason to celebrate.
Peanut butter is a comfort food for many people; a symbol of childhood sandwiches tucked into brown paper sacks and taken to school, and cookies made by grandma with the tines of a fork imprinted, criss-crossed, across the top. It is a good source of healthy fat and protein (4 grams of protein per tablespoon), too.
Many people immediately think of Georgia when they think of peanut farmers, but Texas has its share of peanut farms, too. According to the Texas Peanut Board website, "Texas is the second largest peanut producing state in the nation.
