TYLER, TEXAS (KLTV) - Representatives from the Smith County Retired Teachers and School Personnel Associations (SCRTSPA) will present books to two Tyler ISD campuses to assist in the students’ reading efforts. Bonner Elementary School will receive more than 400 books for students to take home and keep as part of their personal collections.  Usually, a specific grade level is chosen to receive the books, but this year SCRTSPA had enough books to give to all the students of Bonner Elementary School.   In addition, Moore MST Magnet School’s library will receive more than 150 books collected from SCRTSPA to add to the circulation library.

SCRTSPA has a book project each year, in which members collect new and used books or donate money.  The organization consists of eight school districts and each year a district is chosen to receive the books. This year Tyler ISD is the recipient of their book donation.
